Nicole Bross is the Editor-in-Chief of Birthing Magazine. She has 12 years of industry experience with an applied degree in Journalism from Mount Royal College. Nicole’s writing has been featured in many publications, including The Calgary Herald, Avenue Magazine, New Home Living and Resorts Magazine. Nicole is also credited as a writer and researcher for various nonfiction television programs.
Nicole’s favourite thing about working at Birthing Magazine is guiding writers in telling their deeply personal stories in a way that feels respectful, authentic and positive. She loves working alongside her co-workers and giving people the platform to tell their stories, in their own voices.
Nicole also enjoys writing fiction and is a published author.
When she’s not writing, Nicole enjoys travelling the globe, fiddling with one of her manual typewriters or consuming coffee by the litre.

Darcy is a designer from Calgary who’s had a passion for drawing and designing for as long as he can remember. In high school, with hormones running amok, he found a new, strong attraction: bikes and bike shop life. After pursuing cycling culture for twelve years, he returned to his first love of design and hasn’t looked back. He still lives in Calgary with his wife and two rapidly growing kids.
Andi Johnson is the Director of Sponsorship, Advertising and Social Media. Andi has over 10 years experience working with families, starting in 2007 as a business owner and continuing on as a full spectrum doula and babywearing educator. Andi is a member of the Baby Carrier Industry Alliance and advocates for education and support for babywearing caregivers. She has a B.A. in Social Sciences, Birth/Postpartum Doula training with DONA International, and Bereavement Doula training with Sherokee Isles.
Andi is passionate about empowered birth and helping women find their voice and confidence. She prides herself on helping people gain access to resources, building community and connecting people.
One thing Andi can never stop doing is educating caregivers, doulas, and friends on the art of babywearing. While Andi likes to be a source of information, she is a forever student that never gives up an opportunity to learn more.
Andi is also a mother of four and has one step daughter.
